100% Cargo Screening Mandate Now In Effect

TSA has implemented a new security directive. Effective August 1, 2010, 100% of all cargo routed via passenger aircraft must be pre-screened by a Certified Cargo Screening Facility.

Jarvis International Freight, Inc. is ready to meet the screening needs of our clients. In 2009, Jarvis was one of the first freight forwarders in Houston to join the Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP).

Avoid Delays

New regulations require that all passenger airlines pre-screen cargo before loading at the point of departure. These procedures put your cargo at risk for delays. By having your cargo pre-screened by Jarvis, these delays will be reduced or avoided, and helps to ensure that your cargo will move as booked.

Reduced Risk

Cargo delivered to the airlines for screening must be unsecured, and in some cases loose, and will be handled by airline personnel unfamiliar with your cargo, packing needs and preferences. By screening at Jarvis’ facility, cargo is handled by personnel familiar with your material, which greatly reduces the risk for loss or damage, and will be delivered fully packed and secure.

Continued Service

Jarvis International Freight stands amply prepared to comply with these new regulations while continuing to deliver excellence in service and reliability to our customers. We will continue to research and develop innovative ways to maintain and improve our services.
